Today was so beautiful <br /> <br />The sun Shining <br /> <br />Springtime it seemed, couldn’t <br />Wait <br /> <br />To get out that door.. <br /> <br />Didn’t see a car on my street <br /> <br />Looked as if my street was deserted <br /> <br />Just me and my cat.. <br /> <br />A light breeze just mildly <br />Blew. <br /> <br />My chimes was ringing, ringing <br />Off the hook <br /> <br />I was anxious to make my way <br />Out the door <br /> <br />I grabbed my phone and hurriedly <br />Went out the door <br /> <br />I started to get into my truck when <br /> <br />I notice I didn’t have any keys <br /> <br />So I looked down at my hands <br /> <br />Guess What? <br /> <br />Locked out from my house my <br />Truck <br /> <br />I just sit back on my door step <br /> <br />And <br /> <br />I hung my head down <br /> <br />Into my hands my head went <br /> <br />In a daze <br /> <br />Wondering what was I thinking <br /> <br />Locked out of my house and my <br /> <br />Truck included <br /> <br />I sit there just wondering what <br /> <br />Was my option.. <br /> <br />My street deserted <br /> <br />Just me and my cat <br /> <br />My cat walked up to me <br /> <br />Place his self into my slap <br /> <br />He looked into my eyes <br /> <br />With great concern <br /> <br />As to say <br /> <br />“If it was humanly possible I <br /> <br />Would let you in” <br /> <br />Than he jumped from my slap <br /> <br />And just went elsewhere <br /> <br />I was stuck out the door <br /> <br />Looking kinda silly <br /> <br />Until I could get a bit of <br />Help...<br /><br />Carolyn Sears<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/locked-out-4/
