Walking along the path, <br /> <br />I look upon the scene, <br /> <br />two lovely Daffodils, <br /> <br />swaying in the breeze. <br /> <br /> <br />How lonely is two? <br /> <br />Just 'Two Daffodils' standing at post, <br /> <br />no genial others are here to boast, <br /> <br />thankfully their appearance didn't bolt! <br /> <br /> <br />Pretty yellow, glowing beacon from a far, <br /> <br />like the sun, our distant warming star, <br /> <br />Ye pistol and petals is very chromatic, <br /> <br />an ephemeral flower that's never dramatic. <br /> <br /> <br />While your bloom is veritably short, <br /> <br />an late spring is your final tort, <br /> <br />with the generation of thy all covering lawn, <br /> <br />oh how I miss you when your gone!<br /><br />Richard McClellan<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/two-daffodils/
