On clear nights I take a moment to lift my head and gaze my eyes toward you. Great distance separates us, but on such nights like these it seems we embrace. Those shining stars keep me alive. They reassure me that you are looking down on me and they comfort the emptiness of my heart. Those same stars instruct me to live my life, not shorten it to see you sooner. I have realized that you will be waiting for me in Heaven until it is my time to join you. The reunion will come. To see your smile and gorgeous eyes again; to feel your hugs and best of all, your kisses; to hear your lips whisper a long waited, 'I love you' in my ear. Days, weeks, months, and years will pass; some slow, some fast, but forever will I have my angel, my sweety, my Bright Star, shining down on me from above.

Kathleen Kehoe

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/that-one-bright-star-on-the-left-side-of-the-moo/
