Nature has jurisdiction over all the trees <br />When Autumn overshadows the land. <br />The yearly ritual creates a picturesque scene <br />That is astonishing and will not easily disband. <br /> <br />The leaves of the trees are like patches on a quilt <br />That heighten the beauty in red, orange, and gold, <br />And gives a graceful pleasure to the senses <br />That will be spectacular and lovely to behold. <br /> <br />Pause to remember the phenomenon of Nature, <br />A moment of grandeur before the winter freeze. <br />Cherish this instance of being mesmerized <br />By the transformation of all the trees. <br /> <br />Each tree will adhere to Nature's call, <br />Eventually their leaves will begin to fall. <br />One will be overwhelmed with sadness, <br />And be in a state of wonderment of it all.<br /><br />Joseph T.
