Deep in our hearts and minds persist <br />unmentionables that in our waking hours <br />are safely hid behind dark veils of privacy, <br />hung there to shield our image from ourselves.. <br /> <br />We have them all and cover them the best we can, <br />our fears and hopes, desires and expectations, <br />our jealousy and distrust, our greed and lust, <br />and things we do not even want to think of... <br /> <br />But, in our dreams, we often do not seem to care <br />about our public image, pride, or self esteem. <br />or things we should not do or say to friends, <br />or even total strangers... <br /> <br />How can we keep the lid on this satanic cauldron, <br />which may boil over anytime we sleep, <br />and burn our self-respect and conscience, <br />long after such bad dreams have passed? <br /> <br />The answer, my dear friends, is quite simple: <br />ask Jesus Christ before you fall asleep <br />to let His Holy Spirit mercifully guide <br />your lost, subconscious mind...<br /><br />Willem VanVoorthuysen<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/afraid-to-dream/
