A book mused lines that - moving makes us die
for action denotes change and change has killed- -
and I, a child, sat petrified to try
exams - they're finals! That reading instilled:
to live, one must stand pact. Life's frozen -none
and nothing else. So I'd crawl day's each date,
each year; With love I'd hesitate-soon gone
were girls. Abstain to mate? - then run fast: wait! .
Yet delays just kicked feet from under 'might,
or may have been'. Thus I'm lame…. Photos shot
are puzzles.Frames all (each a life seen right)
have views. Old poses show her well- She's not.
The pages stop. She lives. She smiles replies.
They turn and turn. She dies, she dies, she dies….

Glenn Bagshaw

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/photo-finish-ed/
