Have you ever just wondered what God has in store <br />When He’s saying, “Be patient—just one battle more? ” <br />Does He know all the burdens that you have to bear? <br />Does He know that you’re hurting; does He hear every prayer? <br />Yes, He knows about burdens and He knows that they’re real, <br />But He sees the next valley while you’re climbing this hill. <br />He knows all your heartaches will be taken away <br />For He’s the God of tomorrow as well as today. <br /> <br />He’s the God of tomorrow as well as today. <br />He knows words are hurtful, and He knows those we’ll say. <br />He knows that we’ll fail Him, but He knows that we care. <br />He knows when we’re crying, and He answers each prayer. <br />He knows about weakness, and He knows about sin. <br />His own Son He gave us—this vict’ry to win, <br />And He knows what we’ll be like when we’re fashioned His way <br />For He’s the God of tomorrow as well as today. <br /> <br />He’s the God of tomorrow as well as today. <br />He knows where we’re headed and how long we’ll stay. <br />He knows that these trials can hardly compare <br />With the pleasures and joys we will have over there. <br />When in white-robed perfection, together we’ll stand. <br />Throughout endless ages—oh won’t that be grand. <br />So, remember if He lets some trials come your way, <br />He’s the God of tomorrow as well as today.<br /><br />Mac Wilkey<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/he-s-the-god-of-tommorrow-as-well-as-today/
