Golden memories of childhood that are gone <br /> Happy nights by the fireside with stories, games and songs <br /> WIth a kind, caring Mother <br /> And a Dad who also cared <br /> After supper together then to bed up the stairs. The home it was a humble place <br /> And luxuries were few <br /> Vegetables were home grown, with cabbage and 'tatoes too <br /> A turn fire burned so pleasantly <br /> With smoke of scented blue <br /> The cozy bed had hand-sewn quilts <br /> Of every colour and hue.
