A lone warrior runs the distance, <br />prepared to confront the challenges that arrive. <br />Realizing with sure reliance, <br />that all must persevere to survive. To succumb would bring disarray or demise, <br />for shamefulness is not understood. <br />While friends and family sorrow in silence, <br />and the tears never seem to brood. To conquest is to be overflown in an ocean of gratitude, <br />to stand haughty amongst fallen heroes. <br />Commended and criticized as bravery does, <br />to pull through to start fresh with fortitude. This conflict was won, but the struggle is never over. <br />The event is just a renewal, <br />never-ending and continual. <br />A lone warrior runs the distance . . .<br /><br />Jin S.
