He stands on the cliffside so regal and proud
And sings to the moon glistening white through a cloud.
The song echoes down on the valley below,
Floating down 'round the houses with windows aglow. The air is like crystal, his breath catches light.
His eyes glow with fire as he prays through the night.
His song is soon answered o'er the canyons and trees.
Foolish man, do you listen, and get down on your knees? "Oh God, do You hear our harmonious request?
We humbly beseech You, grant us love, peace and rest.
We are but small creatures, with Your world we do share.
Please bless us and keep us in Your tender care."

Kathy Ann Croy

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/wolf-song/
