Tides came and washed away <br />the empitiness inside my vacant <br />heart, the waves came with a thrash <br />and washed all the remains only leaving <br />a lonley piece of driftwood, withered <br />and set alone to endure its helpless <br />future for someone's raging fire <br /> <br />Listening to the gulls, screeching in <br />harmony of knowing the tides were <br />very high with huge changes in store, <br />I walked along the beach that fatefull <br />day and wondered, which way to follow <br /> <br />As night set in, calmly now, the sea <br />once again was thrashing to and fro <br />and leaving behind the tity bed of <br />new sand with the moon casting its <br />lonely shadow, it told me then, the <br />sand is new, and now is the time <br />for a new start in my life leaving behind <br />the battered hinges on the door to my <br />forsaken heart, but letting the oppourtunity <br />to replace its barren walls of sorrow......<br /><br />Bonnie Collins<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/barren-walls-of-sorrow/
