Why I prefer double standard? <br />Sometimes inner conscience revolt and bombard <br />Believes in what is told or heard, <br />Always remain protective and slightly feared <br /> <br />There lives wild animal tendency inside <br />Nurturing evils and many wrong things besides <br />Not allowing good things to surface, <br />Projecting bad things as good and hiding ugly face, <br /> <br />Curbing reaction successfully and offer smile, <br />Make it sure that others not catch it for a while, <br />It senses danger from a distance of mile, <br />Preparing self for face off meanwhile, <br /> <br />Try to look humble, simple and honest <br />Wait for the opportunity to be used as best <br />Make quick and bold move next, <br />With touching words without prepared text, <br /> <br />May be I am gifted with such a fine quality, <br />Using it for good and as best utility, <br />Is it need of an hour for diversity? <br />Or present the solidarity with show of unity? <br /> <br />Well, I may enjoy and remain cool, <br />Let others stay away and look fool, <br />I make the effort for easy sailing, <br />While others struggle and start failing <br /> <br />No one can judge my inner feeling, <br />Money, fame and honour simply coming <br />Never caught unaware as I act wise, <br />Get lion’s share and big piece of slice, <br /> <br />It helps to build image and reputation, <br />People come for advice and consultation, <br />I never displease them and invite wrath, <br />Offer the condolence and lay a wreath, <br /> <br />I may not be liking the act but to perform, <br />Words, deeds and action to transform, <br />Simplest way is to keep aloof and remain in form, <br />Like earth protecting sects including worm<br /><br />hasmukh amathalal<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/why-i-prefer-double-standard/
