I've been existing in the island beyond my grasp <br />either to live more or to abandon......... <br /> <br />and while doing self-search for the '' inner - me '' <br />while finding walls even for an ephemeral happiness <br />while seeking for an arm to whom I can caress <br />and looking for a pillar to where I can build up self-erected confidence <br /> <br />unmindful, the more I've been longing for something in significance <br />I blindly left behind my chief definite aim, my visions, my dreams <br /> <br />I 've learned in the island since birth that every mortal will perish <br />the neglected and those with inherited prosperity <br />the oppressed and those with promising youthful years ahead <br />the deserted and those who dies in prestige <br /> <br />I've confirmed, everybody will go on the same stream <br />in the so - called passage way of life <br />Birth, Life, Death <br />exept those aborted fetus, the miscarriage one <br />lucky enough to escape the mundane universal struggle <br /> <br />These are all perishable materialism revelations <br />the point of this poem is out there <br />beyond the earthly scares that eventually vanish forever <br />beyond the shattered realms where distress of emptiness <br />incites no more in seeking mind <br />beyond the silent forest where teary eyes no longer weep <br />at the terrible coldness of the night <br />beyond the ferocious winds in the jungle of wilderness <br />that swift my feet from place to place <br />beyond the tragic island of this cursed mankind <br />gradually I am about to abandon.......... <br /> <br />while catching the immortal life <br />from the nearly descending dawn of salvation <br /> <br />Creator, please, secure me more <br />security of my soul!<br /><br />Rommel Mark Dominguez Marchan<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/catching-the-dawn-from-the-island-of-abandon-2/
