Friend in need is friend in deed, <br />Modern friends only provide feed, <br />Desert in right time and never bleed, <br />Fine product of special breed, <br /> <br />I tried earnestly for genuine friend, <br />Who can go and side up to natural end, <br />Best wished from heart always send, <br />I bow my head to newer trend, <br /> <br />I found one with special status, <br />I was wicked and good qualities minus, <br />She seemed so nice and acted pious, <br />I rated her like other friends as various, <br /> <br />She was not fanatic but orthodox, <br />Remained in veil and stay in box, <br />Not showing even face slight, <br />I failed understand what was right, <br /> <br />She was there as special friend, <br />I wanted more time with her to spend, <br />Angrily she rejected and words lambasted, <br />I found self in jail as if arrested, <br /> <br />I still insisted her to be precise, <br />Requested she not to make and publicize, <br />Cautioned me with warning not to exercise, , <br />Extreme demands which were otherwise not wise, <br /> <br />Still she loved with parting word, <br />Prayed for happiness grace form Lord, <br />I was hoping to have fine accord, <br />Ended in failure with unique record, <br /> <br />Why do we expect more and unreasonable, <br />Knowing not why the friendship is noble, <br />Even if you earnestly try but unable, <br />Surrender to reality even if capable<br /><br />hasmukh amathalal<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/special-friend-11/
