One step removed from rich dark earth <br />Is an army of greens. <br />Before being viewed, roots, birthing <br />Hidden shoots which had been <br />Struggling for light and wanting first <br />Taste of leafing, give mean <br />Measure in care, push up, then work <br />Apace, paint stems with green <br />Salady hues, potentially worth <br />A fortune to seekers <br />Of health, who praise greens for nursing <br />Back sparkle to cheeks deemed <br />Insipid before.
