Smiling flowers with fragrance enthralling, <br />Dashing waves of the sea to the shore, <br />And people walking to and fro on the beach, <br />I sit and muse over the life of each one! <br /> <br />Stars in the sky watching all from above, <br />Just started walking children moving joyfully, <br />Elders walking with stick and others for trimming, <br />I sit and think about the prospects of each one! <br /> <br />Heavy wind blowing from the south in summer, <br />The temperature of the day coming down to 30, <br />Sweating people sitting to get fresh air for relief, <br />I sit and ponder over the possibility of rain soon! <br /> <br />Small vendors of pop corn and fruits selling fast, <br />Children and elders munching cucumber in hand, <br />Vehicles on the road searching for parking lot, <br />I see the sky above the just started drizzle of rain! <br /> <br />All the show coming to a close at last in a hurry, <br />All rushing to shelters available near hotel or sheds, <br />And the rain condescending to intensify a little, <br />I open my umbrella ready in hand to go home!<br /><br />Ramesh T A<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-condescending-rain-in-summer/
