For the first time in many days <br />I decided to bestow myself a gift <br />Of long and lonely stroll in the <br />Neighbouring park <br /> <br />I felt drawn into the cycle of <br />A huge rotating apparatus <br />As soon as I joined the obligatory walk <br />Of self absorbed localites <br /> <br />The cool evening fresh with <br />First sprinkle of monsoon <br />Imitated a perfect soggy dawn <br /> <br />A bunch of unknown pink flowers <br />Cuddled closely and stay put in their <br />Bush, like a group of gossiping girls. <br /> <br />Noise from overjoyed children <br />Made me glance with concern <br />As their screams tugged my motherly impulse <br /> <br />Rows of seated elderly pair <br />Looked alike my aged parents, <br />I walked past them watching affectionately. <br /> <br /> <br />Every ingredient was present to <br />Make my evening, which I enjoyed <br />Nonetheless and exited the little park <br />Pretending that only your thought never <br />Came to my mind...no not even once...........!<br /><br />Seema Aarella<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/an-evening-walk/
