Rain is uncertain and delayed, <br />Weather forecast and message relayed, <br />Days are very hot and in home stayed, <br />Gloomy picture and everybody dismayed, <br /> <br />Hot season with frequent power cuts, <br />No good service and “if” and “buts” <br />Sun rays direct in my holed huts, <br />No means but forced to stay puts, <br /> <br />Rain God is displeased with world, <br />Wastage of water more with relation cold, <br />Fight for water in many parts, <br />People store more and look so smart, <br /> <br />Whole world economy is in disarray, <br />If monsoon is delayed and little away, <br />Earth is torn apart with surface dry, <br />As if newly wed bride making cry, <br /> <br />If request to be made then with strong resolve, <br />No wastage of water with problem solve, <br />Stopping and storing efforts involve, <br />Not polluting it with chemical dissolve, <br /> <br />Ozone depletion may invite the trouble, <br />Many diseases with medicines incurable, <br />Unseasonable rains with devastating flood, <br />Destruction everywhere with spilling blood, <br /> <br />Stopping of water flow at dam’s site, <br />Inviting the wrath from local's fight, <br />Are we not depriving their statutory rights? <br />Deserting fields for proving the light <br /> <br />Why do we want to perish the mankind? <br />Unhygienic waste in water with method unkind, <br />Never in other countries violation of rules, <br />Buffalos and cows take bath with bulls, <br /> <br />High rise in temperature with heat waves, <br />Diseases many to spread and way paves, <br />Are we not digging our own grave? <br />Greed and lust and just to crave, <br /> <br />Sometimes in abundance and sometime scarce, <br />Tidal waves rise high and land coerced, <br />Houses washed and population flee, <br />Nature’s fury we understand but can’t see<br /><br />hasmukh amathalal<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/rain-delay/
