When I face time, <br />Will it all add up, <br />Or will I be behind? <br />Can I race to the front <br />Like the Doctor or Architect, <br />Or the President, <br />Or will I be behind? <br />Can I catch up to the front line <br />With some baggage on my shoulder? <br />Will it make it, <br />Or will it weigh me down? <br /> <br />How will I fight, <br />And how will I fend, <br />When everything is rushing towards me? <br />I never had a chance to think about it, <br />So when it comes, I know to surrender. <br />I get distracted by the puzzle of life, <br />And I wonder why the puzzle never fits. <br />I think I'm wasting time observing it. <br />So, will I be behind <br />As everything moves forward? <br /> <br />Every now and again, <br />I look down the troubled road, <br />And I don't see anything at the end. <br />If I stretch what I know, <br />And bend over, <br />I might see that glint of hope. <br />When I face time, <br />Will it all add up, <br />Or will I be behind? <br />When I find my way <br />Will it make any sense, <br />Or will I be behind?<br /><br />Rabi Anata<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/will-i-be-behind/
