A chill was emanating all around, <br />It was just the sunrise in the morn', <br />I got up and know what I found? <br />The leaves and grass just new born. <br /> <br />I peered through the window sill, <br />The sky was blue and golden cake, <br />the world was in the bed still, <br />while I was wide awake. <br /> <br />The cuckoo started a lovely ballad, <br />which was a lovely song, <br />I listened to it in a fad, <br />and got lost in, for so long. <br /> <br />The nature was fresh and lively then, <br />I was tempted to be with it, <br />but the alarm bought me back to my ken, <br />to a clumsy world around me knit. <br /> <br />I longed to be with the nature lush, <br />I pined for hills, valleys n streams, <br />I whined for those rains which gush, <br />and the warm sun rays that gleam.<br /><br />Suchitra Bandi<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-sunrise-2/
