Dark clouds on the horizon under the glaring Sun... <br />Omnipresent hope, many presume none... <br />Hunger heedless inhabits the mind of a ghost, <br />Unhearing of the Power Omnipotent of the Host... <br /> <br />Twister of the paralyzed: <br />Enthroning villains, <br />Uncrowning heroes, <br />Subjecting the unsuspecting to hostile exile... <br />Approvers of the impenitent, <br />Exciting truths, they claim, shall expire, <br />Foolishness empire, unwittingly they admire, <br />Wallow on the stage of mediocrity - <br />Runaway 'winners'! Goody-goody sinners! <br /> <br />Disremembering: <br />Silence luminous... <br />Noise ominous... <br />Repute formidable, <br />Weak side pardonable... <br />From nature the lessons of self-renunciation - <br />Paved by martyrs' blood... restoration... <br />A daisy unenvious, ungrudging of rose, <br />Slavery mindless, overlooking both daisy and rose. <br />Teasingly tantalizing <br />Grotesque vegetations of egocentricity; <br />Ignoring immortal glimpses of Christocentricity... <br />Christocentric longevity... egocentric brevity; <br />Ambushed by less than enriching edifice <br />In quandary amiss... <br />Undiscerning of the footprints of Light <br />From footfalls of night... <br />Judas-like... fright... <br /> <br />Do their hearts rest? <br />Or are they unfailingly failing The Test?<br /><br />Dorothy Kardas, Psy.D.
