Everything around is in a slow motion, <br />Laziness is now a prominent emotion.. <br />The mood surrounding is seemingly low, <br />Time in my watch too is ticking slow.. <br /> <br />The air is dull and the day is boring, <br />Being half asleep, I am almost snoring.. <br />Everyday is the same, there's nothing new, <br />I am cynical of following this routine too.. <br /> <br />Ages have passed and still many pending, <br />It feels to me this day is never ending.. <br />Thought of taking a walk for a while, <br />But every step I take feels like a mile.. <br /> <br />Not an ounce of energy to boost my mood, <br />Tried to vitalize in every way I could.. <br />Having lost all the vigor, I had in store, <br />A change for good isn't happening anymore.. <br /> <br />My body too has lost all remaining momentum, <br />Like a mannequin on my desk, in my sanctum.. <br />Laying on my chair with an impassive face, <br />Even a blink of an eye, is hard to trace.. <br /> <br />Pessimistic thoughts are troubling my mind, <br />Even a pinch of optimism is hard to find.. <br />Strangely enough, in such a dreadful time, <br />I have tuned my words, I am able to rhyme.. <br /> <br />Written in every verse, is simply what i feel, <br />How easily could I manage this without a zeal.. <br />Assonance is created by scripting every line, <br />Yes! !
