Oh wounded soul, forced to grow old <br />lost its strength before its time <br />will it not, nor never be <br />once again in its prime <br /> <br />battered, torn and worse for wear <br />body lurches back, cripples every tear <br />that comes to it and hurts it so <br />for many years now, oh the soul's woe <br /> <br />bring not into damnation <br />no ye push away <br />dont stay near now <br />no ye dont stay <br /> <br />that brings another melancholic tone <br />for once again the soul's alone <br />to suffer a mighty gruesome fate <br />has much served on its plate <br /> <br />and now it's without its mate <br />and it must choose one of two gates <br />no matter which task it should take <br />a difficult choice it must make <br /> <br />because no matter which outcome if and when <br />the soul can never begin again<br /><br />Kristen Brown<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/soul-51/
