in their own rights, they are our protectors and saviors <br />our daily road pavers. <br />they are the ones who our lives, we put <br />to protect, and it gets better yet. <br /> <br />they are with us every second, of every minute <br />of every waking day. <br />and for this, they don't get much pay. <br />they are searchers who try to make things right. <br />with the courage and determination <br />to stand up and fight. <br /> <br />it matters not, where they're from <br />their backgrounds, or religious beliefs <br />or even the color of their skin. <br />they just want to take away the pain and the sins. <br /> <br />they get into a profession to help others <br />and to protect all families <br />and our sisters and brothers. <br />they do not do it for fame and glory <br />this is not their desires and stories. <br /> <br />they do it because there is such a need <br />and it is a beautiful deed. <br />their hearts are full of compassion <br />and they'll run, to get in the action. <br /> <br />they do it for self esteem <br />and in their eyes, you'll see that gleem. <br />when a life they have saved <br />to live to see another day. <br />that in itself, is worth much more than pay. <br /> <br />now you may ask me, who can they be <br />they are the ones, who surround you and me. <br />they are: the police and law enforcement agencies <br />the firemen, the doctors, and health care providers <br />and the soldiers who protect the nations <br /> <br />they are the protectors and our saviors <br />of our every waking hour <br />and they are the ones <br />who have lifes powers. <br /> <br />we put our lives and faith in them every day <br />and to them, i do give praise.<br /><br />louis rams<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/our-protectors-and-saviors/
