My Legacy ~ A Mothers Love <br />It started of course when I was born <br /> <br />My Legacy <br /> <br />A life and future already thrust <br />A broken heart would be a must <br />No-one around for me to trust <br /> <br />My Legacy <br /> <br />A life of struggle with much to learn <br />A Father who told me I would cash and burn <br />A Mother who left because of <br />him <br />Who always told me I was full of sin <br /> <br />My Legacy <br /> <br />But sometimes we manage to rise above <br />Find hope in life through God above <br />We save ourselves through self belief <br />And rise above the confidence thief <br /> <br />From Parental Legacy <br /> <br />So now I stand full of love for all <br />My children blessed who will not fall <br />For I have broken the <br />bonds of fate <br />And given them something I think is great <br /> <br />My own Legacy.<br /><br />Janice M Pickett<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/life-s-legacy/
