You silently flutter with black winged Nyx, <br />Dally and ease, oblivious to her tricks. <br /> <br />In Erebus’ bowels lays, she, germless eggs. <br />Broods in her darkness, on haunted pegs. <br /> <br />From her loins, gold winged Eros sprang. <br />To whose majesty, Venus and Cupid sang. <br /> <br />The dark light that, from stars had fell. <br />On Zeus, cast, Hera, Hypnos’ spell. <br /> <br />Mighty Zeus, faltered!
