So here I stand alone in despair <br />Appraising my thoughts, as they get me nowhere <br />For everything seems vague, but the form of your face <br />Unveiling the rapture of life, in all of its grace <br /> <br />Awake I stay at night, in a state of perplexity <br />Tears surge upon my smile, as I find you in my heart’s intensity <br />Like a fairy you swirl, you appear and embrace me in my dreams <br />You wipe my tears, and silence my screams <br /> <br />So delicate your move, and when you‘re close to me it feels <br />Like I’m surrounded by summer’s soft warm breeze <br />Strange it is; I can feel your soothing presence <br />Even when you’re not close to me in essence <br /> <br />Nothing can compare to your hand’s feathery touch <br />That makes me shiver and rouses inside of me my unspoken lust <br />Feels like your hands are made of silk <br />Touch me and I no longer feel my wounds that bleed <br /> <br />When you look at me I get lost in your eyes <br />There is no trace of reluctance as I step into this paradise <br />With a sentiment of awe, I stand mesmerized <br />And I dive in this tranquil sea to ease my sighs <br /> <br />Your smile feels like the rain on dry ground <br />Sweeping away my nightmares, removing every doubt <br />Purifying my soul, clearing up my sky <br />Taking me back where my wings once again can fly <br /> <br />How time weighs me down so merciless <br />I run this race in vain, the ticking of the clock is pitiless <br />Nothing I can do than to reside in my emptiness <br />As I watch you walk away, leaving me meaningless<br /><br />Spiros Mar<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/meaningless-11/
