Scraps of meat were thrown <br />into the leopard's enclosure <br />at the Santago Rare Leopard Project <br />and as Sheena went for her lunch, <br />a cheeky little mouse appeared <br />and started feasting away. <br />Sheena looked at the intruder, <br />sniffed him and tried <br />to nudge him away with her nose, <br />but the mouse took no notice <br />and kept chewing away. <br />Sheena just watched him <br />as at her lunch he nibbled away <br />making no effort to have him for her lunch. <br />When the mouse was full, <br />he just scuttled away <br />leaving this big cat <br />filled with dismay. <br /> <br /> <br />22 September 2009 <br /> <br />Author’s Note: <br />What I have written is not fiction, but actually happened at the Santago Rare Leopard Project in Hertfordshire, England. A student caught the whole thing on camera and a friend sent a copy of them to me.
