History may have legend stories and the proof <br />We can’t discount theory and remain aloof <br />It may not sound well with changing scene <br />Never heard warrior fighting without head and seen <br /> <br />Indian history is full of such tales <br />Heroic struggle waged by the males <br />Females offering self immolation for honor <br />To save dignity as need of an hour <br /> <br />Jaishikhri (name) fought battle for three days <br />Headless with swords and shield and found ways <br />Killing as much enemy as he could possibly do <br />Finally falling on ground …………. <br /> <br />We find warriors in present days also <br />Jumping in fray without thinking so <br />May not calculating what would be the damage <br />Unable to retrace or orderly way to manage <br /> <br />What is modern way of facing crisis? <br />Do we roam aimlessly without thesis? <br />How long can we endure and fight? <br />May not see even day or light <br /> <br />Have we become soft or gone insane? <br />Have all our efforts are futile and gone into vane? <br />Simply because it is without application of mind <br />Lacking teeth, generosity or honesty of any kind <br /> <br />We will have our feet not firmly placed on the ground <br />Nothing concrete in mind but making big sound <br />Failure for sure even putting heroic brave front and lead <br />Makes no difference even when you fight without head <br /> <br />So old warriors without head still holds ground <br />They laid lives when enemy seized and surround <br />Here we simply flee, leaving open the flank <br />Loosing the face severely and drawing the blank<br /><br />hasmukh amathalal<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/warrior-without-head/
