There was a Land, That passed a Law <br />Where People, were Forbidden to Talk <br />Oh, You could Think, Shake Hands and Wink <br />Stand Up and Even Walk <br /> <br />But if ever, you should open your Lips <br />to Utter one-Sense-Syllable, or Word-Sound <br />they would beat you down, to the Ground <br />and drag you away… Mouth-Bound… <br /> <br />but, Ever so Clever are People, <br /> and Poets Devised a Plan… <br />“We Must Learn and Teach, How to Move <br /> Every Girl, Boy, Woman and Mute – Man”… <br /> <br />“… Hold Hands Hi! … When You Pass By… <br />Wave and Tap Your Feet… <br />Let Us Put Poetry in Motion <br />… since We Can Not Speak… <br /> <br />Lift foot and Kick, Do it Quick <br />Kick-It-High! ... (if Something is Bad) <br />Kick-it- Low, (if You Don’t Know) <br />And Stomp!
