That voilent storm <br />That blusters with rage <br />And lifts the dust <br />And the dried yellow leaves <br />Of thoughts <br />That settled long ago <br />And blows them helter-skelter <br />It mercilessly reduces <br />The proud steadiness <br />Of the cosy dwellings <br />To pitiable heaps <br />It churns the seas of minds <br />And wrecks the smooth sailing <br />Ships of life <br />And shivering and trembling <br />I search for the weeds of hope <br />And clutch at the logs of faith <br />That navigate me <br />To the safe shores <br />But alas!
