I can't see nor hear of much more of it.
Have cried and angered to a frenzy over it.
Nor ever again will I believe that my prayers
could ever end it.

My scarred old muse re-trains upsetting words
to express poetry about it. I write alone now,
wishing so very hard that war would just end soon -
and that 'Omnipotent Love' will find the way into the hearts
of all who seek Peace and respect Life.

And; for all warriors who survive, they will have
learned that death respects no sides at war,
that for the sake of our own lost loved ones,
their lives should never had been wasted.

Louie Levy
04-01-2003

'The lunatic, the lover. and the poet,
are of imagination all compact'

*William Shakespeare*

Louie Levy

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/friends-for-peace/
