As I peer through these cold iron bars <br />I can see the stars burning so bright <br />Oh yes! They burn so blindingly bright <br />Across the dark blue blanket of night. <br /> <br />As I peer through these cold iron bars <br />I yearn to soar like a silver kite <br />Oh yes! Just like a silvery kite <br />Across the dark blue blanket of night. <br /> <br />As I peer through these cold iron bars <br />I long to stroll under the starlight <br />Oh yes! To stroll under the starlight <br />Below the dark blue blanket of night. <br /> <br />As I peer through these cold iron bars <br />I know I’m lost in my own twilight <br />Oh yes!
