She lies at home, all alone on her bed <br />She was gonna go out, but she stayed in instead <br />She lies alone, thinking, killing herself <br />With no care for nobody or anything else <br />She cries alone in the dark on a bed made of glass <br />She cries tears stained with blood, the blood from the gash <br />Not a wound you can see, but a cut deep within <br />Blood flows through without need for arteries and <br />Normal means to help the body throughout <br />Pain, endurance, nothing, as she chokes on her doubt <br />Coughing up blood, blood in her lungs <br />Blood’s all she sees now, pain’s everything ‘cause <br />They gave her these scars, they cut with the knife <br />Of their hate and their greed, and despite all her strife <br />She couldn’t defeat them, couldn’t have her win <br />She lost all her pride and her confidence and <br />Her love, oh her love, how she used to care <br />About everyone, everything, and now she just stares <br />At the wall, she looks so intently but <br />All she sees is a word, written in blood, “slut” <br />It’s bound to sink in when it’s all she hears <br />She’d assume kill herself than deal with these fears <br />If anyone had taken the time just to know <br />She only wanted to be loved, wanted someone to hold <br />Her away from the pain, and away from the rest <br />Of the world, what a life that she gave up next <br />And so that was the end, the end of the shame <br />Because nobody cared and nobody came <br />To comfort her in her darkest days <br />I wish that I had, maybe she would’ve stayed <br />She lies at home, all alone on her bed <br />She was gonna go out, but she stayed in instead<br /><br />Christopher's Dead<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/she-could-have-been-the-best-this-world-s-ever-seen/
