Once the blindfold is lifted, <br />we see things as they really are. <br />There are no crimson castles <br />guarded by George’s dragons <br />or other creatures of our myths. <br />Just ordinary people doing ordinary things. <br />There are no doorways that when you open them <br />you dropp into imaginary pits of insanity. <br />There is however minds filled with sickness <br />and demented thoughts <br />that fire them to do monstrous things. <br />When the blindfold is lifted, <br />we see things for what they are worth <br />and that can be scarier <br />than what is dreamt up within an author’s mind. <br /> <br /> <br />21 November 2009<br /><br />David Harris<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/blindfold-lifted/
