A flicker in the sky <br />that ray of hope afar <br />Flamed across the firmament, <br />a multitude of stars <br />Dreams and aspirations <br />soared high like a eagle <br />fly towards destiny <br />but chained by reality <br />My future outlined for 2010. <br /> <br />2009 will soon filter and crawl <br />in 2010, <br />like a laughing feather ball <br />or a manna from the heavens <br />like a playful clouds fall <br />There were good and bad times <br />Some so harsh, that truth’s cries <br />Brought tears to everyone’s eyes <br />And some so enigmatic, that <br />with the fire in my eyes <br />burnt those devils of shameful lies. <br /> <br />It was good, <br />While basting in <br />the sunshines of love <br />The flames <br />though high and gnarling <br />Did’nt leave me <br />wriggling and scathing <br />But calm and cool <br />as cucumber <br />And happiness <br />abound outnumber <br /> <br />Now as 2009 will soon come to an end <br />Let me just thank and bend <br />before the lord and commend <br />For the fortunes and the peace descend. <br />My pleasures might be small <br />But tomorrow, I could have it all <br />But I know HE will make me stand tall <br />Come what may befall <br />He’s by my side like a wall <br />To die and have an everlasting life like Saul <br />Another year ahead <br /> <br />HAPPY NEW YEAR <br />AND WELCOME 2010 <br /> <br />A VERY HAPPY AND JOYFILLED NEW YEAR 2010 <br />TO ALL THE FRIENDS HERE ON POEMHUNTER. <br /> <br />28-12-2009 <br /> <br />Anjali<br /><br />ANJALI SINHA<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/happy-new-year-2010/
