My heart is flesh and patch-work, <br />Held together by stitches of hope. <br />Softly and slowly beating, <br />Moving this cursed blood throughout my veins. <br /> <br />My hands are bone and cold metal, <br />Meshed together by need and creativity. <br />So inhuman, yet so flawless in movement, <br />As I clasp my chin, thinking. <br /> <br />These eyes are cells and pure acid, <br />Compacted together by lust and hurt. <br />A chemical combination that is bound for destruction. <br />A making me look for a way of escape from all this. <br /> <br />This mouth is teeth and venomous poison, <br />Brewed together for harm and protection. <br />Killing and healing the dreams of the broken, <br />Never forgetting what has was spoken. <br /> <br />My mind is gold and bronze, <br />Melted together to create, <br />An orichalcum fortress of beauty and isolation, <br />That no one dares to try and penetrate. <br /> <br />This is my body of nature and man, <br />Made for reasons I do not yet understand. <br />Able to love or to hate, cause peace or war, <br />I will strive aspire to so much more.<br /><br />Peter Vector<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/an-anatomy-of-a-deeper-sort/
