Man created me centuries ago, <br />to distinguish good from bad, from high to low, <br />to maintain peace and harmony, <br />for the very well being of human race, <br />and to teach everyone the art of living, <br />i was necessary as was oxygen for surviving. <br /> <br />Generations have been discriminated, exploited and ill treated in my name, <br />those born under a bar deserved to be cremated or needed me to tame, <br />they used me for selfish reasons and begun a dirty game, <br />humanity was never a concern for them, soon began an age of inhumanity, ignorance and pain, <br />with me as the source of excuses so lame. <br /> <br />Lives were destroyed, people decoyed and nothing was ever rectified, <br />i had become the reason for the suffering of my creator in numerous ways, <br />people killed, economies bombed, they were creating a better world in their sadistic ways. <br /> <br />Bloodshed all around me, cursed is the day they found me, <br />it tears my heart to see people homeless, hopeless and lifeless, <br />children robbed of their childhood....their innocence, <br />women robbed of their dignity, lost is humanity, unhappy is the divinity. <br /> <br />My creator has misused me time and again, <br />he lives only for his gain, <br />faith of the tortured, the suffered is something i will never regain. <br /> <br />Suffocated is how i feel, maybe my existence isn't real, <br />i would still continue to harm through man's zeal. <br /> <br />Not all agree or follow me, corruption is what they don't allow me, <br />nonbelievers failing to comprehend my true essence, <br />finding bliss in ignorance, <br />never do i blame them as i am the one with blood on thy hands. <br /> <br />Man has left me without an option, <br />unhappy i am about my creation, <br />how greedy and sleazy of him to name me 'religion', <br />how cruel and crazy of him to use me as 'poison'.<br /><br />rinki nandy<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/poison-53/
