I wanted to write a love poem. <br />But I didn't know where to start. <br />So I began to think of you. <br />And wrote right from my heart. <br />- <br />Me and you aren't soulmates. <br />And I doubt will ever last. <br />But together we remain. <br />Despite our broken past. <br /> <br />And together we work well. <br />Atleast thats how it seems. <br />The problems on the surface. <br />Solved within our dreams. <br /> <br />For in our dreams we're perfect. <br />But in reality that's not true. <br />We are imperfect together. <br />Stuck together like white glue. <br /> <br />For we're stuck in our relationship. <br />With no clue where to go. <br />Each feeling so much for the other. <br />But unwilling to let it show. <br /> <br />And without a display of feelings. <br />Our hearts will slowly wilt. <br />Dying without a taste of love. <br />Destroying what we built. <br /> <br />And what we built was beautiful. <br />A golden palace filled with care. <br />A palace fit for Kings and Queens. <br />But you were never there. <br /> <br />You were never there with me. <br />Though you claimed we were together. <br />And you would say I love you. <br />But added no forever. <br /> <br />For forever's not a word you know. <br />Nor a word you'd say to me. <br />It's just another length of time. <br />A length of time we'll never see. <br /> <br />For you never see what's wrong. <br />And so you cannot make it right. <br />The confusion that is filling me. <br />Vanishes in your sight. <br /> <br />For with you theres no doubt. <br />Not until you go away. <br />And though I want this over. <br />I beg for you to stay. <br /> <br />So stay with me right now. <br />For alone I cannot be. <br />And prove to the whole wide world. <br />Just how much you love me. <br />- <br />I wanted to write a love poem. <br />But I didn't know where to start. <br />So I began to think of you. <br />And wrote of broken hearts.<br /><br />Silence Dogood<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-love-poem-for-broken-hearts/
