A storm brewed beneath the surface <br />As the ocean eyes began to glare <br />Its expression one of murderous <br />Terrifying enough to freeze the heart <br />In the dead middle of a longing beat <br />A shock of lightning trembled the smooth waves <br />A fire's ember in a deep, unknown fury <br />No sweet whispers <br />Breathed from its lips <br />No gentle mutters <br />To soothe a child's weep <br />As the tempest began to strike <br />The thunder shook the small world <br />Irises transforming into midnight <br />But a form of curiosity blazed in the moment <br />And, suddenly, burst to the surface <br />The glare faded away <br />The waves cooled <br />The ocean eyes were left wide in intrigue <br />And the earth stunned <br />In total whiplash <br />From an anger so powerful <br />To a curiosity so strong <br />The world left in question <br />Sinking deeply into the irises <br />So mysterious, dark and forbidden <br />Hiding a secret too large for humanity to handle <br />Until the day, it will unleash itself upon them <br />And they shall see <br />The effects of the <br />Dark Ocean Eyes<br /><br />Jessica Robert<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/dark-ocean-eyes/
