My mind was a film <br />playing the past <br />going through memories <br />I wish would never last <br />I sat looking back <br />at what used to be <br />quickly wanting this to end <br />so I could focus on what’s now me <br /> <br />My mind was a movie <br />showing me what’s going on now <br />previewing my choices <br />that I hope to answer my question of how <br />I sat looking there <br />at what has now become <br />desiring for this to be done <br />or that I was completely numb <br /> <br />My mind was a video <br />going on fast forward <br />scanning my future <br />seeing what I’m headed towards <br />I sat looking ahead <br />at what I am to be <br />I wish I could change it <br />But life’s already been set for me<br /><br />Silent Speaker<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/i-sat-2/
