The false fox came to our house one night <br />And gave all the geese a terrible fright. <br /> <br />He came on tiptoe through the gate. <br />The geese were in a dreadful state. <br /> <br />He took a fat goose fast by the neck. <br />The poor goose cried out ‘Queck! Queck! Queck! ’ <br /> <br />My mother ran out all alone <br />And at the fox she threw a stone. <br /> <br />My father ran out with a pail <br />And hit the fox-clank!
