A radiograph can be an epitaph of sorts, <br />they took one of my heart just yesterday, <br />the doc said that in men the black and white distorts <br />and depth ain't near the surface, as they say. <br /> <br />Mine showed the presence of a shadow in the heart, <br />two pointed things and all in all twas pretty round, <br />no edges and no fuzziness, but a peculiar dart <br />seemed to belong to it, well friends that's what they found. <br /> <br />An MRI was done to ascertain the truth, <br />and there it was, the riddle quickly solved, <br />technicians gathered, one of them said STREWTH, <br />I should have guessed my love, you were involved. <br /> <br />They found you in my heart, it should have been...well, understood, <br />to operate would be the end of both of us for sure, <br />so may I ask politely, Sweetie, if you would <br />stay in my heart forever, it would have to be the cure. <br /> <br />I've named you Valentine to show you that I care, <br />it fits you nicely and it sounds like Italy, <br />how strange and wonderful for us to truly share <br />one love-filled heart, a little drum for you and me.<br /><br />Herbert Nehrlich 2<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-different-drummer/
