The girl Child is in the grove. She does not hear the bird in the bamboo grove. <br />She does not see the bird. <br /> <br />She sings the song the bird sang her once: <br />I love to see you <br />smile and laugh, <br />Happy Girl; <br />for that is the start <br />and continuity <br />of my song too <br /> <br />But there is no answer. The girl Child does not hear the bird. She sings, hoping the bird will hear and come to her and dance and sing to her again: <br /> <br />'gentle bird of the grove <br />that sings for delight <br />and to bring a smile; <br />your Happy Girl is here, <br />dancing bird – <br />won’t you come <br />and sing and dance for me? ' <br /> <br /> <br />But there is no reply. The bird is not to be seen anywhere.
