I Looked Out My Quartz Window, Today <br />Any Lavender Bloom, Had Long, Withered Away <br />Instead, It Seemed Like A Pale, Charcoal-Clay <br />Had Been Lumped Across, The Sky To Lay <br />Waiting For An Arctic Potter, To Play <br />At Molding Gray Skies, Really Grey … <br /> <br />The Clouds, Looked Like Silver, Tumbling Rocks <br />Gathered and Galvanized, In A Wintry Dock <br />Or Like Gray Wolves, Chasing Wooly Flocks <br />Or An, Old, Cold Woman, With Ashen-Locks <br />Blocking Aerial Light, Bent-Down, and Dropped <br />Those Gray Skies, Really Grey … <br /> <br />It Appeared Like Picked, ‘Pewter’, Cotton Balls <br />Or Bubbling-Mist, At The Bottom Of Waterfalls <br />Or Like Smoke Billowed Above, A Granite-Castle Hall <br />Or Plumes, Drifting Across, Leaving A Slate-Scrawled, <br />Voluminous Message, On A Vaporous Wall <br />Of Gray Skies, Really Grey … <br /> <br />Cloudy: Looked Like Metallic, Rolling Stones <br />Platinum, Aluminum, Steel, or Tin-Toned <br />Clumped and Smoothed, Sculptured-Pearled-Domed <br />Which Some Tornado, Had Lifted and Thrown <br />Or Like Some Hurricane, Had Heftily Blown <br />Thru The Air, ‘Til All Was Iron-Monochrome … <br /> <br />(Thru The Wistful Window, In My Home) <br />Beneath A Thick, Overcast Blanket Of Foam <br />Letting Feathery, Flights Of Fancy Roam <br />To Collect Into One, Big, Thunder-Tome <br /> Reading That Dark Cloud-Mass; It Reflectively Shone … <br />… That Gray Sky, Was Really, Beautifully Grey <br /> <br /> Written & ©: 2/17/10 <br /> <br /> By: The MoonBee<br /><br />MoonBee Canady<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/gray-skies-really-grey/
