Over the rainbow <br />The sky might be blue <br />But you can't tell from here, <br />It just seems a dull hue. <br />The clouds must be blocking <br />That magnificent view <br />Of over the rainbow <br />Where the birds might be red <br />And the sun might be bright <br />But from here all I see <br />Is the grey and the white. <br />The pain is so shocking <br />I’m spinning round and round <br />So the colors of the rainbow <br />All mix into brown. <br />Perhaps one day <br />Out of that ugly dark tone <br />Can grow a brightly colored rose <br />But today it just seems <br />Over the rainbow <br /> <br />(2007)<br /><br />Rafe Chanteloup<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/over-the-rainbow-10/
