The world keeps telling me
To get a grip or I won't last.
Have to 'open up my fortitude'
And 'let go of my past'
Yet I always seem to be the one
To lead us through this fight,
And the one to guide us through the dark
When all has lost its light.
Don't be the one to pull me down
Or be the one who tries.
Cause this resentful clump of lust and bone
Can see through all your lies.
I have struggled through the emptiness
That you all know as life,
And braved through all the sickness that
Brought all of you your strife.
I promise you I've seen it all,
Yeah been there done that twice.
The only thing I worry on
Is being far to nice.
So dont terry on my fortitude
That's been tested and still holds.
Instead try dwelling on my worldly deeds
That's made me oh so bold.

I have struggled...
I have braved...
I'm still here and always willing,
To guide the way.

Paul A.
