The first rays of sunshine, <br />Spread a warm welcome glow, <br />Sugary amber light so delicately fine, <br />Sifting through my window, <br />Casting The Darkness from my mind, <br />With the hue of a refracted rainbow, <br />Dreams interrupted by spectrum squeeze, <br />Of Dawn's sensational forenoon show. <br />I awake floating on a summer breeze, <br />Riding a rippling wave of velvet heat, <br />Wind aroused by pietistic sneeze, <br />Apple blossoms whispered and coaxed from retreat, <br />As trees are shifted and uplifted by divine wheeze. <br />Rousing once dead souls, <br />From lucid lanquidity, <br />Birthing us like spring foals, <br />Slumber stirred beside me, <br />Awakened amongst the scented flowers, <br />With renewed esprit and energy, <br />Refreshed for the daylight hours, <br />Enabling you to walk the world happily.<br /><br />Dale Mullock<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/dead-souls-2/
