I am thinking about the day <br />My heart shall be numb <br />I will want to do a lot <br />But tomorrow will never come <br /> <br />I will want to go back to my roots <br />To my start, to my earth <br />I will want to touch the land <br />Where my body took its birth <br /> <br />I will want to kiss the lady <br />My first teacher, my creator <br />I will want to bow to the divine <br />Holy feet of my mother <br /> <br />I will want to hug the man <br />Curator of every smile I had <br />I will again want to hold <br />The little finger of my dad <br /> <br />I will want to worship the place <br />I was made a human from a creature <br />I will want to thank the enlightened <br />My each and every teacher <br /> <br />I will want to hear the people <br />They had a shoulder to lend <br />I will want to talk old days <br />With each and every friend <br /> <br />I will want to cleanse my soul <br />From animosity I did sow <br />I will want to embrace every one <br />No more I’ll need a foe <br /> <br />I will want to seek her forgiveness <br />With me who spent her life <br />I will want to spend all time <br />She never got while being a wife <br /> <br />I will want to laugh with them <br />They took me a step farther <br />I will want to express my love <br />To angels who call me their father <br /> <br />I will want to be more responsible <br />Towards nature and my nation <br />I will want to do my bit <br />Before seeing eternal salvation <br /> <br />Now I don’t want to wait for the day <br />When my heart shall be numb <br />I will do all I want; before the day <br />Tomorrow will never come<br /><br />Preetam Shetty<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/tomorrow-will-never-come/
