I behold this flower once again <br />It looks now withered and pale <br />Beneath the shadow of grey sunlight; <br />At morn it was shining bright! <br /> <br />The stream beside flows stoic sedate <br />Over rocks that turn averse <br />Its water blurry unruffled though <br />Akin to my thoughts inside <br /> <br />The sun looks determined soon to set <br />The east it beholds far off; <br />As if to respond to unknown vows <br />Cooing a lone bird flies off! <br /> <br />I move up along this thorny strait <br />Rough unkind under my feet <br />No stars for help to be spotted yet <br />Whose gloom to fall in they wait? <br /> <br />The breeze alone sings; seems to tell you <br />The dawn is soon out to break <br />Let me now take a dip down into <br />The depths of this silent night! <br /> <br />For an early bird would wake me up <br />And a bloom would gift a smile <br />You too would rise beckon me again <br />Till then, till then I shall wait!<br /><br />Kesav Venkat Easwaran<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/till-then-i-shall-wait/
